Jalen Hurts – Net Worth, Salary, Age, Height, Weight, Bio, Family, Career

Quarterback Jalen Hurts, playing for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, in his rookie season led his team to the National Championship. A year later in 2017, as a starter, he helped the Crimson Tide clinch the title.

But by his junior year, Jalen had become a benchwarmer. He was  playing second fiddle to his teammate and star quarterback-in-the-making, Tua Tagovailoa. Of all people – not even his parents – his girlfriend was the most vocal about his ill-treatment by the squad he had helped build.

Net worth:

Jalen Hurts signed a $6 million rookie contract and he has a fully guaranteed $1.94 million with workout bonuses in his third and fourth year with the Eagles.

As a millionaire, Hurts didn’t buy a new car or spend his money on superficial items. According to a GQ interview, hiring a financial advisor was one of his first moves as a professional athlete

Did Jalen Hurt’s Role At Crimson Tide Create Rift With His Girlfriend?

Jalen joined the Alabama Crimson Tide football team as a freshman in 2016. Then, he quickly established himself as the team’s starting quarterback.

He guided Alabama to the 2016 National Championship but lost to Clemson. The next season, he led his squad to victory over University of Georgia.

But he had no idea he’d be Tua Tagovalia’s backup quarterback by his junior year. To make matters worse, the Crimson Tide was courting another quarterback, Gardner Minshew.

Not even his girlfriend and fellow Crimson Tide alum Bry Burrows was happy with the decision; she told friends that if Jalen didn’t get his job back by spring, he’d quit.

“Jalen Hurts girlfriend Bry Burrows said Jalen informed her he’ll transfer if he doesn’t get the job by spring. I wonder where he’ll go.” @TRENDSETTA 7 MR.STR8LIKEDAT 13 Feb 2018

Despite his girlfriend Bry’s advice, he stayed with the Crimson Tide.

What a choice!

Jalen passed for 82 yards and a touchdown on 7-of-9 passing and rushed for 28 yards and the game-winning touchdown on five carries after being a backup all season.

Rumors that his decision to stay with the Crimson Tide caused a gap between him and his girlfriend appear to be unfounded.

He received a standing ovation from his fellow Alabama students, parents and professors at graduation for his winning efforts in the final.

More On Jalen Hurts’ Parents Nationality, Ethnicity, Age, Height & Weight

Now that Jalen is 20, he has one more year of college football left. He can either play for a rival college football team or wait until an NFL team comes to him with a professional contract.

Parents Averion Hurts Sr. and Pamela Hurts, both teachers in the Channelview ISD, will support their son no matter what he decides to do after high school.

Jalen’s parents, who are both American citizens, know all too well how important it is to help their kids succeed. It used to be that when Jalen and his older brother Averuion Jr. were playing for two different college football teams, they split their time between them.

The fact that they got the 2016 SEC Offensive Player of the Year. He  is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs more than 200 pounds, to do powerlifting shows how hands-on they are with Jalen’s professional life.
